A listening session conducted by the Army

  • 06 Jan 2015
  • 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • John Hardin High School
Community Listening Sessions (CLS) will be held by 30 Army installations
over the next five months to provide communities with an overview of the
Army's process to reduce and reorganize its force structure to achieve the
fiscal reductions required by the Budget Control Act of 2011 and to remain in
balance with the National Defense Strategy. However, the primary purpose of
these CLSs is to obtain input from area leaders and citizens about what Army
leadership should consider when making force structure changes.

The CLSs will be open to the public, and Fort Knox's will be held at 5:30
p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center
in Elizabethtown (...special thanks to HCS Superintendent Nannette Johnston
for allowing the Army to use this wonderful facility). Please mark your
calendars and forward this message to anyone whom you believe may wish to
attend.

I look forward to seeing you on Jan. 6.

Best Regards,

Colonel T.J. Edwards
Fort Knox garrison commander
